Insurance As part of the Code of Practise, international students are required to have travel and medical insurance when they enrol in education in New Zealand. This can be arranged before you arrive in New Zealand from your home country. If not, your institution will ensure that you obtain insurance when you enrol. Although New Zealand is a safe and friendly place to be an international student, the risk of theft or damage to your property is as present as it is in your own country. You may wish to take out additional insurance when you arrive in New Zealand to cover your belongings during your time studying there: www.uni-care.co.nz/
